First Visit with Isaiah!

Jason and I have been excited all week to see Chris, Lesley, and Isaiah on Thursday and Friday. Lesley had an interview in August, GA, so we met them there. They arrived later than they had hoped and missed the dinner they were suppose to go to at the school, but we got to spend more time with them!

He's so adorable and is very alert for a one month old! He moves his eyes alot and will follow voices! Thursday night he was very active and I got a cute video!

Here are some pictures! He's looking at Uncle J!

He smiled at me ALOT!

He liked when Jason held him! He cried when he gave him to mom!

Mom talking to him!

Dad held him for over an hour on Friday morning as he slept!

This is the bid Jason and I bought for me when we found out he was a boy! It's alittle big now, but should come in handy later!

Brief rewind of the last two weeks!

The most interesting event of the last two weeks was yesterday, the Carolina Raptor Center released a bald eagle and a red tail hawk back into the wild near Lake Hickory. There were a bunch of people there (over 100). The red tail hawk one is hard to see, but he stayed on the ground for a few seconds before taking off!

Jason's been very busy with heating issues at the schools. Work has picked up for me and I had to go to two employee meetings this week at 6:00. Life group has been nice, one week about the connection of anger and rejection, and this week about the trash we let into our lives.

We're looking forward to seeing Chris, Lesley, and Isaiah this week when we meet them in Augusta, GA on Thursday since Lesley has an interview!

Happy Birthday Jason!

Jason had a rough week with ALOT of heating issues. He was very tired every day this week! So we looked forward to the weekend!

Friday, we had life group after 3 weeks of not meeting due to the holidays. The topic in the book was selfishness, which created a very good discussion! In so many ways, I don't realize how selfish I really am, especially when I look at Jesus' life. He welcomed people that interrupted his daily "plans" and loved the unlovable!

Saturday, we had family over to celebrate Jason's birthday! We played a bit of Wii and ate pizza! Sunday (his actual birthday), we went down to Hanes Mall with Dean and ate at the Olive Garden! We haven't eaten there in awhile and Jason got his normal selection: the five cheese baked ziti!

Jason only has one more year of the 20's before he joins me in the 30's! Hopefully, we'll have a good year!

Happy Anniversary and New Year!

Monday, mom came over for dinner at our house since dad wasn't feeling well. She enjoyed playing Wii pinball! We went out to eat with Liz on Tuesday at Ruby Tuesday and were going to see "The Blind Side" but the line was way too long! We rented "Four Christmases" instead.

Wednesday, I got some red roses at work! Jason and I ate at Kobe for our 3rd year anniversary, then went to Home Depot to get some new bathroom sink faucets, and Pet Smart (where we spent money on the animals!)

Thursday, went went over to the Mumfords to watch the Hurricanes game and ring in the New Year! Even though they lost, we had fun! The rest of the weekend, we hung around the house, mainly because it was freezing outside!

Mom and dad got to go to Memphis on Thursday to see the baby! Thanks Mike for their standby tickets! Here are some pictures!

Hip Hop Snowman!

Jason, mom, and I found this at CVS while waiting for her pictures to develop!

Christmas Events!

It's been an eventful week, the highlight being our nephew decided to come on Christmas Day! We're all still in shock, but thankful Isaiah, Lesley, and Chris are well!

Jason had the whole week off. I took Tuesday off so we could visit his aunt Frances in Mt. Airy with his dad and his friend Jeff. We ate at Snappy's downtown and walked around to a few stores. I only had to work half day Wednesday, which was nice. We had a lot of kids Wednesday night, but it went well! Thursday, we went down to Statesville early to see Grandma and Grandpa and watched "White Christmas." We had a nice Christmas Eve with everyone and had fun playing dirty Santa. Friday, we had breakfast with mom and dad, while waiting on the progress of Lesley's labor. We headed down to Statesville around lunchtime to hang out with Lee, Linda, and Gary. We played out Wii there for awhile, mostly to distract me (was a bit nervous until about 3:30 when I heard Isaiah was born!) For dinner, we went to Mooresville to visit the Bost side of the family
Saturday, I tagged along with Jason, Lee, and Sarah for squirrel hunting in the woods behind Lee's house. A bit disappointing since we only saw one squirrel. We watched the UNC bowl game until half time before heading back home. Today, we visited my uncle Kent, cousin Jake, Kelly, and their daughters in Lexington. We had a nice afternoon with them. We traveled a lot this past week and are worn out for our work week!

Let it snow!

We got snow on Friday! I got to leave work early, but Jason had to stay late dealing with a snow plow! Molly seems to really like the snow, while Chip isn't show thrilled! Here's them playing!

We walked the dogs a bit Saturday morning. Then, I stayed at home and read a bit of this book called "Crazy Love" while Jason went hunting with Lee. They didn't see any deer. :(

Sunday, we went to Dobson to see the Fulk side of the family, which was nice! Then, we went to TNT, which was about our need to control the things in our lives and working on giving them over to God. It was a tough topic, but good to discuss!

Earlier this week, I went to a Corinth Women's luncheon with my friend Abigail. It's nice to finally know a lot of women at the church!
