Happy Valentine's Day!

We had wintery weather again last weekend...I think everyone is getting a bit tired of snow! We cancelled life group, so we got to watch most of the Olympics Opening Ceremony.

Jason had to work for a few hours on Saturday (the 13th), but got the next Friday off!

The 13th, we had dinner with Dean and Karen at Cracker Barrell, then hung out at Barnes and Noble for awhile.

Valentine's Day we watched the Datoyna 500 and Olympics. Jason was kind enough to get some food for Zaxby's!

I had Monday off for President's Day and didn't do anything! It was nice!

The rest of the week has been a bit challenging for me with some billing problems with a group and just general frustration with issues. I was glad when worked ended Friday!

Life group was about love being a package deal, in the way that we can't just pick and choose the things we want. (Like just wanting the good/easy situations and not the bad/challenging ones). It was a pretty difficult chapter to think about because it's never easy to love the unlovable and those who've hurt you.

Today, we had lunch with Gary and Linda, and then walked on the Greenway with the dogs. We haven't walked the dogs in months and it wore them out! It's the first pretty day we've had in awhile! Hopefully, it will continue!

Wintery Weather....again

The winter weather began on our way back from Augusta...we got caught in it a bit as we came towards Hickory. So, we stayed in the rest of the weekend, especially since the roads were very icy. I had a delay on Monday, but Jason had to go and shovel snow all day.

The rest of the week was okay, but Jason has worked hard! Friday, CFA closed the office but it ended up not doing as much as they thought. Jason got off around 12:30, which was nice for him.

We had life group at our house this week, about love not delighting in evil. My favorite part was a story of a prison warden's wife, who spent most of her time at the prison ministering to the criminals. Everyone told her not to be there, but she felt differently. She unexpectantly died in a car accident and when the prisioners found out, they all went to the front gate, crying. The warden didn't live far away, so the guards let them out of the prision so they could go and pay their respects to her. All of them returned later that day. What a great story!

Saturday, Jason helped our friend Ryan paint his old apartment while I hung out with his wife Nechole in their new apartment. Later we saw Gary, Linda and Lee at ate at O'Charleys.

Today, we enjoyed the sermon about what's obvious to some isn't obvious to others. He used an example of the Israelits and how they still complained in the desert even though God had done SO MANY things since they left Egypt to show He was there with them.

After our afternoon nap, we headed to the TNT superbowl party and then to Liz's at the end. It was a fun night!
