Early birthday present!

My mom called on Saturday to say that she saw a playhouse at a yard sale for $5.00. So, we went over there and got it for Hallie!  It's an early birthday present!  It fits nicely in our front yard (for now!).  She loves to open the shutters and the door!  She calls it a "tunnel" (because we got her a tent with a tunnel a few weeks ago and I guess it reminds her of that!)

The back of her hair was very curly today, so I tried to take a pic of it!

Hallie is moving on from her addition to Elmo and now is interested in Dora, the Explorer, and this show on Netflix called the Mooh Brothers (about cows & farm animals). We think she mainly likes the theme music of each show because she wants to play once it ends!

She learning more Elvis songs (especially likes "All Shook Up" and "Teddy Bear").

Something new she's saying now is if we tell her "yes", her response is "No, yes!"  We usually laugh when she does this, but sometimes it can be annoying!

The Beach and More!

We had our first trip to the beach and it went a bit better than expected!  We knew she wouldn't like the water, but she did enjoy the sand!  She seemed to like the ocean from afar because she loved the deck at the condo and kept saying "water, water" when she wanted to go out there!

Look at that bikini belly!

Yes, she is wearing Elmo water shoes!!

The first evening we took a walk on the beach!  Johnny Bravo hair!

Our niece McKenzie was there and she and Hallie had a GREAT time together! They made each other laugh, and played on the deck a lot!  Hallie kept saying "Kenzie, Kenzie!" (which sometimes sounds more like "KiKi").

Hallie's got a thing for shoes now and kept putting McKenzie's shoes on!
(She also puts our shoes on as well)

Hallie would let us hold her in the water, but didn't want to touch it!

Hallie and Jason took a much needed nap under the tent one afternoon while I got to play
with McKenzie in the ocean and pool!

Hallie's vocabulary gets expanding!  We can understand more of the "ABC"s and she can count two, three, four (sometimes she says two again here), five!  She seems to also pick up songs well!  She got out a book we haven't looked at in awhile that sings a few nursery rhymes and I realized she was singing  "Row, Row, Row your boat!"

I found a farm animal book that makes the animal sounds that she loves as well! She's very into cows still!

Going back to Father's Day, my mom and dad joined us for lunch with the Holcomb clan!
