Disney days 3 and 4

Wednesday was Animal Kingdom.

We did the Avatar Flight of Passage first.
Disney does a spectacular set of the Pandora planet!

Justin got scared at the last minute but was able to sit outside the ride section while we did the ride.

I was nervous, but it's an awesome ride. You're on this hydraulic bike looking thing that locks you in the back and the front.

The ride makes you feel like you're flying on a banchee through Pandora so the computer generated scenes on the screen were almost breathtaking. When we flew  through the "water" it actually sprayed you a bit.

At one point there's a "whale" that comes out in front of you before you dodge it and go under an ocean wave.

There was a few times I felt dizzy but I just closed my eyes for a few seconds and was fine.

Pics before going inside.

Then we did the Riverboat ride through the Pandora Planet...beautiful creativity!

No pictures but next Jason and Hallie did Yeti roller coaster (they actually did it twice).

The rest of us went to this show called "It's tough to be a bug" which was a 3D/4D experience so it blew air on you,  smells happened, and fake spiders came out of the ceiling. It scared Justin so bad that he put his head in my lap!

Then we did the Kilimanjaro Safari ride which basically takes you through the park where the animals are.

Giraffes!

White rhino

We saw probably my favorite show the
   Festival of The Lion King!

Justin enjoyed Mickey ice cream

Justin and I didn't do the Dinosaur ride either because his "stomach hurt" but the others did.

Triceratops Spin!

At the Tree of Life.

We left early as this was our hottest humid day, and Mom treated us to Olive Garden.

Thursday was Epcot.

I was able to do this virtual queue at 7:00 a.m. and get Jason and Hallie on the list for the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster ride.

I was shocked when it sent a message that they could go on the ride when we got there!

They said it was like you were going around the universe. I've asked Hallie if she had a favorite roller coaster and she just said she loved them all!

Then we got on test track which is one of my favorites. It didn't disappoint and the kids loved it. Justin said this one was his favorite ride!

You get to create a car while you wait.

After this we headed to Norway for the Frozen ride but Justin started getting some stomach pain. We think the seatbelt  from the test track pressed into his left side at certain point.

But Jason, Hallie, and Mom did the Norway ride and then¹ Jason, Hallie, and I rode the Mexican river ride called the "Three Carbonaros" that has videos of Donald Duck cartoons as you go through.

Then we had to head back to the hotel...full of disappointment.

But mom and I had decided to come back no matter what and after everyone rested for about 3 hours,  Justin said he felt was better so we all headed back!

The kids had wondered about the ride in the big ball which is called Spaceship Earth and shows the evolution of technology and writing with robotic human scenes.

At the beginning of the ride as you go up,
it takes your picture and asks what state you live in.

As you go back down, it has you answer questions, like if you like beach or mountains, under the sea or outer space, and then it creates scenes of "your future" with your face in the scenes.

Then we went to the Nemo ride where you ride through scenes of the movie then it has an aquarium.

Here is a photo recreation!

The first picture is from January 2012 of me and Hallie and then again today!

Manatees!

Sharks!

Jason Hallie and I did Soaring which makes you feel like you're hang gliding in a seat while watching a screen of different places on Earth.

All of us "Living with the land", which takes you on a riverboat through the greenhouses where they grow food for the parks.

It shows new technology where they're actually able to grow the food (like rice, spices, squash) in sand.

Then we headed to the Ratatouille ride in the France area and thought we wouldn't have to wait more than an hour but it was longer.

You're in a pod that moves around and it makes you feel like you're a rat going through the kitchen and having to try to escape from the bad chef. It's 3D and there's a part where a hand tries to grab you and another part a where bottle top comes off and you get sprayed with water a bit.

That's close to 8:15 when we were done so we ate as the American restaurant and then very quickly went through the countries so we could get to this store near to buy shirt he had seen earlier.

Flower festival pics!

Disney definitely brings out the good, the bad, and the ugly in you. All of us had our snappy moments but overall we had an awesome time!
