VBS and Carowinds (again)!

 Week of June 9th, the kids did Vacation Bible Camp at Holy Trinity.

Lucy's mom was kind enough to send this video of them.

They did service projects two days- at Trinity Ridge doing exercises with the residents and packing food boxes at Ashure Ministries.  On Thursday, they had a water day with a water slide!

The theme was the same as Corinth's but it was neat that the structure was different!

Week of July 23rd was our VBS.

The theme was "True North- trusting Jesus in a wild world". 

I got distracted and didn't take many pics.

We had a group of 10 &11 aged boys, who weren't the rowdiness group, but were very mischievous! 

They started bonding with Hallie throughout the week and were taking sugar packets from the welcome center, just being goofy!

But they were serious when asked to be and I was impressed one day when we waited for Popsicles that no one of them complained or acted impatient. 

Friday, July 27th we went to Carowinds with Karen, Miranda, and mom. 

Thankfully it was hot but not as hot as it was earlier in the week!

I did two new things- the pirate ships that Justin loves and the Ricochet, which the girls loved!  

The latter is quite jerky but it was fun!

Jason was able to convince Hallie to ride the Carolina Cyclone, but she didn't like it as much as I thought.  Jason said he forgot how quick and intense it was!
