August memories!
The first week of August was Nana/Papa camp!
The kids went to a waterfall/Price Park and the Lazy 5 Ranch!
They swam in the pool, drove/rode the golf cart, slept on the couches, played card games!
Athrun, Abel, and Sydney came as well!
Jason and I got a cold that week (tested negative for covid) so it wasn't the week I expected here...
The kids then had two more weeks of YMCA camp, which they loved!
They both enjoyed new friendships!
The week before going to the beach,we had gone to Walmart to get a vacuum and the kids convinced us to get some more card games.
So we got Monopoly Deal and Dos. We have been playing that many many evenings
Some fun at Karen's pool! They kept jumping on these and many times falling off!
We did alittle bday celebration for Hallie and Grandma on August 20th.
Hallie made her a bracelet and a birthday card which she loved!
I took off the week of August 22nd. Tuesday we went to Blowing Rock with mom to Price Park, the downtown park, and Shops on the Parkway for some ice cream! They had cornhole there that Justin enjoyed playing and Hallie and I did some Connect 4.
We played lots if card games too!
Open house for Hallie was on Wednesday afternoon and her friend Leah is in all but one of her classes!
We went on Saturday to Linda and Gary's with my mom and dad.

Pawleys Island!
Pawleys Island the last week of July with mom and dad!
As usual, they enjoyed diving over ways and used their boogie boards more this year!
We went to our favorite restaurant Pawleys Raw Bar and ice cream place, Island Treats!
Even did some putt-putt!
Hallie said a funny thing when she, me and Justin were at the pool.
She wanted to leave but Justin didn't, so I told her I could call Jason to come get her.
She said, "No, I don't feel that Justin is safe with you."
What????
So she asked Justin who he felt more safe with- her or mommy?
He said her!!!! Come on!!!

VBS, covid, and All star game
Kids went to Corinth VBS the last week of June.
It was called Monumental and talked about the story of Joseph- how God is there despite bad circumstances.
Justin said this was a friend he made in his group.
She said she wants to do next year and she'll be able to be a counselor!
Then we got to put what they learned into practice since all of us got Covid after VBS was over, including mom and dad.
Overall it wasn't bad with Hallie coughing more than all of us but we had to skip out on 4th of July at Linda and Gary's.
We did go to Deda's house and watch fireworks over the lake since we were able to stay away from people.
We played plenty of board games and tried to enjoy our time in quarantine together! I slept in Hallie's room since both of us got sick first and the boys slept in Jason and mine's room.
I was able to go back to work before Jason so the kids got to spend two days with him alone which they enjoyed!
They even made Sawyer a collar!
Justin's All-Star games on Saturday July 9th.
We lost both- definitely not at the level of these other teams.
Justin played first base and centerfield, but not much action at first base since the other teams hit so well. He did make a few outs there!
He struck out twice and got a hit that was called an out even though his coaches were sure he was safe.
It was extremely hot that day which didn't help.
But a great experience for him!
Mom, Dad, Linda, Gary, and Karen came!
