Halloween

 Halloween Started out with an Egg Hunt with some of our neighbors. The leaves hid some of the eggs more than I thought and we had trouble finding some! But the kids loved it!

Later, Mike and Becca had a Halloween party at their house, including a Haunted Trail that Hallie loved and Justin didn't.

I got Jason to dress up as Marty McFly, I was an 80's girl, Hallie was Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter and Justin was Miles from the Spider-verse. This probably the first year we bought actual costumes for the kids!

From Ocean fishing to Corn Maze!

On October 1st, Jason, Lee, and Dean had the opportunity to go to the beach and

do some fishing for 30+lbs catches!

ordered a Harry Potter cloak for Hallie's costume...

Jason and I went kayaking on the New River on September 20th

with Lee, Der, Dean and Karen. It was lovely!

Virginia Creeper

On Sunday, September 6th, we did the Virginia Creeper Trail with Lee, Der, Sydney, Mike, Becca, Dean, Karen, and Matthew!

17 MILES from Whitetop Mountain to Damascus!

The kids had a blast!  Hallie rode her own bike and loved it! Justin rode in the buggy (aka chariot)  and loved the bumps!  Neither of them complained- Justin didn't want to stop and kept asking us when we were going to start riding again when we were eating lunch!

My right elbow/shoulder didn't enjoy how bumpy it could be so I was mainly in the back and didn't get to see them....but it was beautiful forest and there were lots of bridges over creek water we rode over. It used to be a railroad track and I'm sure it was a lovely ride on a train too!

I even saw this huge beaver dam (but no pic, I didn't have my phone on me)!
