Hallie's 4th birthday and more!

 

We celebrated Hallie's birthday at our house on August 31st!  Nana made her a Sofia castle cake!

 

Aida, Athrun, and Hallie enjoyed the playground!

 

They also assisted Hallie in opening her presents!

Oh, where to begin!  Justin keeps growing and is starting to squeal more!  He has discovered his voice!  Hallie still loves on him most of the time!  He isn't sleeping through the night, but is usually good about going back to sleep quickly (yes, I am thankful he sucks his thumb!) Sometimes, he does want to chat in the middle of the night and I try not to get too annoyed with it!  This won't last forever!

 

He's started to laugh/chuckle more and seems to do it the most with Hallie!

 

He doesn't seem to hate baths like Hallie did so maybe I'll have a water baby afterall!

 

 

He's discovered his feet recently and loves to hold them or try to put them in his mouth!

We're trying to do more tummy time!  He cries sometimes, but if we find the right entertainment, it distracts him!   He tries to pull himself up when he's on his back, so he's getting stronger!  

  

We got the jumperoo down that we used when Hallie was a baby.  His feet almost touch the floor! He seems to like it!

Family of Four!

 

 

We had some pictures done this past weekend with Linda, Gary, and the Saakes!  It had its frustrations, but we did get our first family photo of the four of us, including band aids, flip flops, and baby drool!

These are from July.  Justin really likes his bumbo seat and is becoming more interested in things, like books and toys!  He's still talking a lot!

Justin keeps growing and Hallie keeps getting smarter!  She knows the names of our co-workers now and will ask if we worked with them today. She started to make up songs to sing and likes to watch Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood the most, it seems.  She's still as stubborn as ever!

 

Justin really is looking around more and is holding soft books and trying to turn the pages! He loves when I sing to him too!

 

Well, off to work again!

3 months gone by.....

Justin is 3 months old today!  Went to the doctor about 2 week ago and he's 24 inches long and 12 pounds!  I have so many pics that I'm not sure where to begin....

I had a good 9 week maternity leave and really tried to enjoy the time and not get distracted with things (aka why there is a 3 month lag in posts).  I discovered quickly that he did not like the pack-n-play and had to hold him many nights in order for us to get sleep!  Now, he sleeps on his side or back!

We've also realized that he hates a wet diaper and will scream bloody murder until he's changed!  I call him the "Feast or Famine" baby because it seems like he's really happy or really mad! And he is a loud crier too!  Jason and I joke that we've lost hearing already!

Lately, he's been smiling and talking to us more, making these cute noises! He seems to like people!  He lifts his eyebrows a lot when you talk to him!   He's always had strong neck muscles and holds himself up well.  He is even trying to sit up a bit!


Hallie still seems to love him, she's just been a challenge with her head strong personality.  It's a bit harder now having Justin and she uses that against us!  (For example, if we're holding Justin, she knows we can't catch up with her as quickly!)

He has more of a reddish tone to his hair than Hallie did, but it's blonde towards the front!

We had hoped Hallie was going to jump in the pool on the 4th at Dean and Karen's, but alas, she chickened out!
