State fair on Oct 15th

We went to the state fair in Raleigh.

Very crowded but the kids had fun!

 While I was at a women's retreat, Jason, Linda, and kids went to the Alpha Omega farm before Linda's evening surprise birthday party!

Final Cross Country meets

 Hallie had a meet at Riverbend Middle School on 10/2.

It was a harder course with many hills in the woods, but she had a strong finish!

Her time was 24:06.

Karen came!

Linda and Gary did too!

October 9th was at Bandy's high school.  We didn't go and she said the course was a bit confusing. Her time was 26:13 but she said she RAN the whole time!!!

Last meet was on October 16th, back at Riverbend. It rained a bit when the girls ran but they're all tough!

She ran the whole time and her time was 22:09 which was about 2 minutes faster than 2 weeks ago! It was her best time of the season so she finished strong!

Final baseball games

Two games the first week of October.

1st game, Justin got three strikeouts and played first. He hit the ball but got out and walked the other time.

Second game Justin pitched two innings and got six strikeouts!

 He also got three hits and one walk. He had one hit that went to the grass in left field!

The team scored 14 runs!!! (Some due to errors of the other team), but also because of the many hits!

Linda and Gary came.

The game on Tuesday October 10th was a bust. 

Not many hits since the other team was good and Justin struck out. He played 2nd, 3rd, and pitched the last inning.

We were supposed to have came tonight but apparently there was an error on the schedule and it was supposed to be at 6:00 instead of 7:30 so no one showed up to the game and we had to forfeit.  

We're at least thankful that one of the kids has a birthday party coming up next weekend so most of the boys will be able to see each other one last time!
