A mid summer day's fun!

Week of July 8th....

Saturday July 13th we went to Riverbend park to hike and fish... it was so hot that we didn't last too long to fishing so Jason stayed and fished!

CHallie did the Conrad chase at the Crawdads game we went to on July 15th!

We went to the Trents pool on Friday the 19th

and Justin had a snorkle mask that he 

actually did!

Hallie has learned to do flips and handstands!

We went to Huntersville for dinner for Uncle Mike's birthday and ended up going to this place called Frankie's that was a bit of an amusement park!

We went up to Deda's mountain house on

Friday, July 26th to play with Ellie. They had a small water slide and bounce house.

Only got this but Hallie played in the pool

 the whole afternoon with her!

and we finally convinced them

to do a picture!

Fourth of July Staycation

I took off the week of the forth but Jason had to work since he just got back from his vacation. It was definitely nice to have him back!

Lots of our staycation has been Justin playing bat and ball and catch and Hallie playing with her barbies and dolls especially in the sunroom!

The kids and I swam at Ann and Doug's pool twice, and with mom, we went to the Shiele Museum down in Gastonia but it was a bit of a flop as the kids didn't like the dinosaur exhibit.

They didn't like the animal exhibits either but it had a neat outside area and  it had this cute pirate ship play area that they did love! Hence the pics!

On the 4th of July we went up to Linville to Dedas. They had bouncy houses and games and of course Hallie swam in the pool until there was thunder we had to get out. 

Justin enjoyed the lake/beach area.

Friday we ate lunch with Jason and played!

That evening we went to Lee and Der's house.

We got Justin a tee-ball metal bat we brought, then later did smores and fireworks.

On Saturday we went to Blowing Rock for the parade and a picnic. It rained more than we expected so we ate out of the hatch, then with the neighbors came!

Starting Summer off Right!

Justin's graduation was his last day of daycare, but they were kind enough to do a

sheet for what Justin said about Jason for father's day!

Der took these at Athrun's birthday party!

Karen and Dean took the kids to Tweetsie on June 13th for the day

to see Thomas the Train!  They loved it!

Hallie has had two weeks of YMCA summer camp and Justin has had one week of the squirt camp. 

Jason left for Montana on June 19th so we got tickets for the Crawdads

game on the 20th (then actually went back on the 21st!)

Justin rode an animal on the carousel for the first time!

Then he just kept switching animals to ride on!

The library on Saturday had a gem mining thing we did!

Sunday, we went with Mom, Karen and Miranda to Zootastic!
Justin didn't feed any animals but the girls loved it!

We missed Jason while he was gone...but had many mama sleepovers (every night!)

and saw "Toy Story 4" with Nana and Papa!
